Applied Behavioral Analysis

A written plan designed to replace unwanted or inappropriate behavior with socially appropriate behavior

Certified Social Worker

An indication that a child has not attained the expected level of development based on the child's age

Developmental Domains are the 5 areas of development that are assessed through the Early Intervention Program (EIP). These 5 areas include:

• Cognitive
• Communication
• Physical / Motor
• Social / Emotional
• Adaptive

Services that are provided by qualified personnel and meet the needs of the child and family as described in the Individualized Family Service Plan (I.F.S.P.). These services are provided with parent consent and to the maximum extent possible in the Natural Environment.

Early Intervention Program

An Individualized Education Plan (IEP): A plan for a child's special educational services that the parent and the committee on special education (for children 3-5) or that the parent and a committee on special education (for children 5-21) will develop if their child qualifies for these services.

A person who works in partnership with the family to provide support and services that help the family to coordinate and obtain their rights under the Early Intervention Program and services agreed upon on in the Individualized Family Service Plan
